Most Kia K5s are powered by a 2.5L four-cylinder engine that generates 191 horsepower and 181 lb-ft of torque. Mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission, the K5 accelerates smoothly for thrilling drives. Standard high-performance dampers improve ride quality when the road gets bumpy.
If you’re after more power, step up to the sportier GT model for a turbocharged version of the 2.5L engine that puts out 290 horsepower and 311 lb-ft of torque. Power goes through a responsive 8-speed dual-clutch transmission, and a sport-tuned suspension gives the vehicle an engaging feel. All-wheel drive is available on the GT-Line trim to increase traction on slippery roads.

The K5 is fitted with a 12.3-inch infotainment unit that offers wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, voice recognition, and satellite radio. The K5’s standard blind spot collision-avoidance assist system alerts you when there’s a vehicle in your blind spot. If you attempt a lane change when it’s not safe, it will gently steer you back to your lane to avoid a crash. The available blind view monitor takes safety up a notch, showing a live video feed of your blind spot on the side you’re signaling.
